VANESSA STIRZAKER
Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Biology, Master of Physiotherapy
Vanessa's areas of interest are:
- Musculoskeletal conditions
- Sports injuries
- Hypermobility disorders
- Temporomandiular Dysfunction (Jaw)
- Hydrotherapy for sports, pork surgical and musculoskeletal conditions
Vanessa graduated with a Masters in Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra in 2012 following the completion of a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movement, she attended a massage course at CIT during the break between her degrees.
Vanessa has previously provided over a decade of physiotherapy services for Trampoline athletes at Gymnastics Nationals competitions around Australia, is a GLA:D certified physiotherapist and can perform Dry Needling alongside exercise prescription and manual therapy.
Vanessa believes that physical activity and health awareness should be available to every person no matter their age or situation.
She takes a holistic approach and values the importance of listening to her patients with the objective of not only treating symptoms but identifying the origin of the problem, progressing to preventative management and aiming for patients to perform better than pre-injury.
Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys multi-day hiking, rock-climbing and bouldering, growing her own veggies in her garden and experiencing different cultures and environments by travelling the world.
